to this friendly and informal family run park of about 10 acres, set in a
tranquil glen with fine views of the surrounding forests, hills and heather
moors, yet conveniently located only 8 miles south of Inverness,
with several other popular destinations being within an easy drive.
In the heart of the Highlands,
Auchnahillin provides a convenient base for touring the region, being close
to many attractions and amenities, and is ideally situated for many
pursuits or just a relaxing break in the countryside close to nature. Half
an hour's drive takes you to the atmospheric eastern shore of world-famous
Loch Ness via the village
of Dores with its
shingle loch-side beach (find out more at www.lochnesswelcome.co.uk).
Capital of the Highlands, Inverness,
is easily accessible within a 15 minute drive, and offers all the benefits
of a modern city including excellent facilities for shopping, eating out
and entertainment. You can combine shopping with sightseeing and a relaxing
stroll along the banks of the River Ness to Ness
Islands, and children of all ages
will enjoy a visit to Whin
Park with its
miniature railway and boating lake.

At Auchnahillin we currently have 10 static
caravan holiday homes and one chalet for hire, as well as 45 pitches for touring
caravans and a camping ground for up to 30 tents.
Park facilities include an informative
reception area, small shop, children's play area and an amenities block
with dishwashing and laundry facilities as well as showers, toilets and
hairdryers, and a new disabled/parent & baby room.
(NB. Maximum 4
persons aged 16+ in 2 bed caravans, max. 6 persons aged 16+ in 3 bed
caravans. Most single beds are on the narrow side, so more suited to
children than adults.)
